Ghulam Hussain Bosal, Syed Najam Ul Hassan and Mirza Zubair Baig take oath of Chairman and Vice Chairmen

Mandi Bahauddin ( Sher Gondal) : Ghulam Hussain Bosal, Syed Najam Ul Hassan Naqvi and Mirza Zubair Baig have taken oaths of Chairman and Vice Chairmen of district council respectively on Saturday.

The oath was administered by the returning officer Afzaal Warraich. MNA Nasir Bosal, DCO Muzaffar Sial, DPO Umar Salamat, local PMLN leaders and notables of the area attended the ceremony.

The DCO congratulated the elected representatives and said they would start working with effect from 2 January 2017. He said local government bodies and district administration would work together to serve the people in close cooperation.

Addressing the ceremony, the District Council Chairman Ghulam Hussain thanked District Council members for electing him as chairperson. He said this was a great honor for him.  He assured them he would leave no stone unturned to come true to their expectations. He said he would be chairman for all and there will be no discrimination among the people irrespective which party they belong to.

Public service is his mission and he expects all representatives to work for rapid development of the district. He said corruption was a big menace that has infested every department, and together we will make a fresh start to tackle this parasite.

Chairman Ghulam Hussain belongs to old political Bosal family, an offshoot of Gondal tribe. He is maternal grandson of late Jahan Khan Bosal MLA and paternal grandson of Manik Bosal who was granted title of “King of Gondal Bar” during British rule.

His father late Ch Nawaz Bosal and late Uncle Ch Iqbal Bosal both remained MNA during their life time. Currently his first cousin Nasir Iqbal Bosal and younger brother   Akhtar Bosal are sitting MNA and MPA respectively.
