Shahbaz Sharif congratulated Mayors, Deputy Mayors

Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated Mayors, Deputy Mayors, Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of District Councils and Municipal Committees of different cities belonging to Muslim League-N who have been elected unopposed. He said that local bodies are an effective system for resolving problems of citizens at local level besides development process will move forward speedily at local level.

He said that Muslim League-N has achieved a record success in all the phases of local bodies’ elections and this marvelous success of Muslim League-N is an expression of love of the people with party leadership.

The Chief Minister stressed upon elected local bodies representatives to serve the people and utilize all their energies for resolving problems of citizens as the confidence reposed by the people in local bodies representatives demands that every sacrifice should be made for coming up to their expectations. He said that people have given decision in favor of the politics of decency, service, honesty and transparency and supported government policies by making PML-N successful.

Shahbaz Sharif said that like general elections of 2013, the negative politics of defeated elements indulging in lies and allegations has been buried forever in different phases of local bodies’ elections. He said that negative politics of those people who want to create anarchy has been rejected.

The Chief Minister said people of Pakistan have proved that they do not want chaos or anarchy but progress and prosperity of the country. The elements creating hurdles in the programme of development of the country failed earlier and will not succeed in future as well, he added.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the programme of progress of the country and prosperity of the people is being forwarded and new records of public service will be set during next one a half years.
