Lahore : Heirs of the persons murdered on resistance during dacoity at Millat Park were taken to Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif,so he could condoled with them here today.
The Chief Minister expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief with the heirs of those murdered on this tragic incident. He also offered Fateha for the departed souls.
The Chief Minister gave cheques of financial assistance to the heirs of those murdered and an injured youth. He said that the injured will be provided best treatment facilities free of cost in the hospital.
Talking to the members of the bereaved families, Shahbaz Sharif said that police has arrested the accused through working round the clock on the case. He said that he cannot bring back their beloved ones but ensure them justice at all costs. He said that deterrent punishment as per law will be awarded to the culprits.
The Chief Minister said that he is personally monitoring the progress into the case. He said that the criminals will not escape deterrent punishment. Shahbaz Sharif promised that he will not rest content unless the criminals are taken to task. He said that Punjab government will spare no effort in looking after their families.
Speaking on the occasion, the heirs of those murdered said that under the supervision of Chief Minister, Lahore police have soon traced a blind murder case. He said that police have extended all out cooperation to them and expressed the hope that they will be provided justice.
Those who called on Chief Minister include Zohaib son of Amjad Pervaiz murdered, Brother Muhammad Ashraf, Aslam Father of Farhan Aslam murdered, Zafar brother of Abbas murdered and Najam ud Din brother of Saleem ud Din murdered. Johar, brother of injured Gohar was also present on the occasion.
Inspector General Police, CCPO Lahore Ameen Vance, DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf , SSP Investigation, SP Iqbal Town and DSP were present on the occasion.
