Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal ) : Veterans in a meeting under auspices of Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society (PESS) decided to observe International Anti-Corruption Day– December 9 with full enthusiasm.
PESS Secretary Chief Warrant Officer Abdul GhaniGujjar told this to media persons here the other day. About the program he said on 9 Nov at 1000 hours veterans of Mandi Bahauddin and its adjoining areas would assemble at DASB Camp Office in Committee Bag and declare war against ongoing ‘Corruption and Bribe’ in district and tehsils. He said their main purpose is to show solidarity with NAB in its campaign against corruption and bribe. Secondly they would hold a rally to aware people about rise in corruption and its worse effects on society.
Anti-Corruption departments including NAB have not fully succeeded in tackling this menace, he said with regrets. He said corrupt government functionaries are not only criminals but also enemy of the nation.
Due to their corrupt practices ‘rule of law’ in the country is weak and there is no justice for the poor. He said veterans are empty handed but are determined to fight corruption menace by locating and pointing out black sheep in government departments to concerned competent authorities for legal action.
This is dangerous task but they would continue doing it for making the country strong and stable.
