Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has accorded approval to setting up of Anti-Corruption Agency for harmonizing Anti-Corruption Establishment with modern demands and making it a vibrant and active institution. The agency will be completely autonomous and independent.
A high level committee has been constituted with regard to setting up of Anti-Corruption Agency which will take immediate steps for making anti-corruption laws at provincial level. Best model of the world will be benefitted for organizational structure of the agency and services of an international consultant will be acquired .
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that to eliminate bribe and corruption in the province , Anti-Corruption Agency is being established. He said that it is need of the hour to set the institution of Anti-Corruption on modern lines and reforms should be introduced with the help of information technology in this regard.
Director General Anti-Corruption Establishment, Brig. Retd. Muzaffar Ali Ranjha gave a detailed briefing regarding the performance and other matters of the institution. Advisor Umar Saif, Additional Chief Secretary, Secretary Law, Advocate General Punjab, Secretary Services and concerned officials were present on the occasion.
