Pak Weightlifting team returned home with 4 Medals in Asian Weightlifting 2016

pak-weightlifting-team-returned-home-with-4-medals-in-asian-weightlifting-2016Lahore : Pakistan Youth and Junior Weightlifting Team returned home early morning today with 4 Medals from Asian Youth & Junior Weightlifting Championships held at Tokyo, Japan from 08-16 November, 2016.

Talha Talib of Pakistan won 2 Silver and two Bronze Medals altogether during competition of 62 Kg Category of Youth and Junior Championships at Tokyo, Japan.

Pakistan Weightlifting Federation fielded young Muhammad Nooh Dastgir Butt for this years Junior Asian Championships and Muhammad Nooh Dastgir got 4th Position in +105 Kg category.

It was the first time in the history of Pakistan that any Pakistani weightlifter entered in this category and was among top 5 lifters to fight for top honors.

Muhammad Nooh Dastgir Butt put all his strength to lift 209 Kg in clean+ Jerk, but could not hold it to win a medal. He managed tom lift 201 Kg in very first attempt successfully.

His best lifts were, 160 Kg in Snatch and 201 Kg in clean + Jerk with a total of 361 Kg in this Asian Junior Championships held at Tokyo, Japan on 15 November 2016.

Muhammad Nooh Dastgir Butt has shown brilliant performance by lifting 163 Kg in Snatch and 206 Kg in clean + Jerk with a total of 369 Kg, which gave him a Silver Medal in Junior Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships and a Bronze Medals at Senior Commonwealth Championships held on 26-30 October at Penang, Malaysia.
