Bahawalpur Bar overpowered district judiciary in a cricket Match

session-judge-bahwalpur-rehan-bashir-presenting-trophy-to-the-winning-side Lahore : A cricket match played between District Judiciary Bahawalpur and District bar Association Bahawalpur in connection with the sesquicentennial celebrations of Lahore High Court Lahore was won by District Bar Association Bahawalpur by 3 wickets. The match was played at dring stadium Bahawalpur.

District and Session Judge Bahawalpur Rehan Bashir was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The captain of the team of District Judiciary was Syed Jahangir Ali Shah while the captain of the team of District Bar Association was Mazhar Farid Advocate.

President District Bar Association Tayyab Zameer Khan, Senior Civil Judge Alim Sher, General Secretary District Bar Association Shoaib Alam, Additional Session Judge Khairpur Tamewali Javed Rasheed, District Prosecutor Imtiaz Rasool Cheema, Deputy District Prosecutor Jam Waheed Ahmad Bobra, Civil Judges:- Zafar Iqbal, Masood Ahmad Faridi, Fakhar Bashir Sial, judges of district judiciary, members of district bar association, Divisional sports officer Syed Mateen Ahmad, District sports officer Maqsood-ul-Hassan Javed and a large number of cricket lovers were also present on this occasion.

District and Session Judge Bahawalpur Rehan Bashir threw the coin in the air and perform the toss ceremony which was won by the captain of the team of district judiciary. District judiciary elected to bat and scored 113 runs in a stipulated 15 overs by a loss of 6 wickets.

District Bar association cricket team reached the target in the last over by the loss of 7 wickets. The top scorer from the team of district judiciary was Senior Civil Judge Alim Sher who scored 28 runs by playing 10 balls and he was declared best batsman of the match and the top scorer from the team of district bar association was Imran Channar who scored 28 runs by playing 26 balls and was declared man of the match. The best bowler of the match was declared civil judge Farooq Ahmad.

Later, Chief Guest District and Session Judge Rehan Bashir presented trophy to the captain of winning team and distributed certificates among the players of both teams.
