Dastgir Butt Won Silver Medal (+105 Category) for Pakistan

Lahore : Nooh Dastgir Butt of Pakistan Won Silver Medal (+105 Category) for Pakistan at Commonwealth Junior Weightlifting Championships 2016 at Penang City of Malaysia ON 29^TH October.

Nooh Butt lost Gold Medal fight after nail biting competition & being heavier body weight. Nooh Dastgir Butt (PAK) and New Zealand Weightlifter LITI David Andrew, both lifted 369 Kg each in total, and due to lighter body weight LITI David Andrew (New Zealand) was declared Winner and won Gold Medal, whereas Nooh Dastgir (PAK) got Silver medal. Bronze Medal went to Samoan Weightlifter with 287 Kg total.

In Senior Commonwealth Championships Australian weightlifter KELLY Damon Joseph won Gold Medal by lifting 373 Kg in total after very tough competition, when Nooh Butt failed to lift 211 Kg in clean + Jerk in his last attempt, if he was successful in this attempt, he was the winner of two Gold Medals at the same time in Junior and Senior Weightlifting Championships 2016.

New Zealander  LITI David Andrew won Silver and Nooh Butt won Bronze, both lifted 369 Kg each.
