Spanish diplomat Juan José Giner found dead at home in Islamabad

Lahore : A Spanish diplomat Juan José Giner was found dead as he reportedly shot himself at his residence in F-7 II area of Islamabad. Police took the body in custody and shifted it to PIMS hospital for medico-legal procedure.

The diplomat was found dead in his F7-2 residence inside a room which was locked from inside. A 38 bore pistol was found beside his body, police said. He was stationed in Islamabad and had been working as Consular Attache for the last 34 years.He had married twice but was divorced. He was also receiving medical treatment at a private hospital.

Preliminary findings suggested that the diplomat had committed suicide as a pistol was recovered near his body. The body has been shifted to PIMS Hospital. Further investigation is underway.
