Lahore : Minister for Information,Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on
Saturday said Pakistan was facing big challenges and the politics of protest and sit-ins would weaken the state.
Rejecting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s demands over the election of new Prime Minister, he said the culture of agitation and chaotic politics should not be promoted in the country.
The minister said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif enjoys full confidence and support of the Parliament. He said PTI had filed petition in the Supreme Court and it should wait for its verdict but it wanted to impose its own decision before the court’s decision.
The proceedings on the case of charity against PTI was in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) which was filed by its senior leader and now PTI was seeking adjournment of the case. Pervaiz Rashid said if PTI had trust in courts and laws of the land then it should face such laws. PTI lawyers should give answer with legal arguments and evidences. He said the Prime Minister had addressed the National Assembly and countered all the allegations levelled by his opponents and presented his financial history, however many people were already aware of it.
