MCCI record burnt to evidence of financial crimes and bogus votes

The assailants also injured some of the people who resisted them while police has registered an FIR against the accused while no arrest has been made.

According to former Member of the National Assembly and Zonal Chairman United Business Group (UBG) of FPCCI Haji Naseem ur Rehman those who committed the crime include former president FPCCI Senator haji Ghulam Ali, former VP of FPCCI Mirza Abdul Rehman, former presidents Zahir Shah and Sultan Muhammad and their aides.

The accused attacked the chamber, injured people who tried to stop them while seriously injuring member of the executive committee of MCCI Nauman Basheer.

The set record on fire, damaged computers and other paraphernalia and made good their escape while Nauman Bashir has been admitted to the hospital where police recorded his statement and registered FIR.

Haji Naseem ur Rehman said that the business leaders had committed financial crimes and registered many bogus votes on which different government departments were informed.

Subsequently, Director General Trade Organisations (DGTO) initiated probe and found 120 bogus members who were removed. The Qabza Group challenged the decision of DGTO in Peshawar High Court but to no avail.

The people frustrated by the decision of DGTO and court decided to hide their crime by burning the record, he informed.

The former legislator said that administration should arrest all the culprits and provide protection to the business community.
