Khawaja Saad Rafiq calls on Punjab Chief Minister

Lahore : Federal Minister for Railways Kh Saad Rafiq met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, here today.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that there is no room for politics of anarchy and confrontation in this present critical situation. He said that unity, consensus and solidarity are the need of the hour and those involved in politics of confrontation should show a responsible attitude. He said that personal interests have no importance compared to national interests.

He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has always upheld national interests and adopted a unanimous strategy over important national issues with the consultation of national leadership and it is improper on the part of defeated elements to try to achieve personal ends on vital national issues. He said that there is a need to promote national unity and solidarity instead of anarchy and confrontation.

ShahbazSharif said that national leadership has displayed unprecedented unity and harmony for adopting a unanimous stance over increasing brutalities against unarmed Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir and violation of line of control by India and it is need of the hour that mutual differences should be set aside in the larger interests of the country.

However, he said, it is unfortunate that those promoting politics of confusion and conflict are betraying the blood of martyrs. He said that it is time for national unity rather than divide the nation for achieving personal interests. He said that enlightened people of the country will reject any attempt to divide the nation at this critical juncture through negative politics.
