Oman plays a draw 2-2 with Pakistan in opening match of 4-test series

Oman’s under 18 hockey team  reached Lahore yesterday evening to play a 4-test series against their Pakistani counterparts. All matches to be played at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore, begun from today.
Scorers:
For Pakistan: Waqar Ali (30 minutes) & Naveed Alam (37 minutes)
For Oman: Both goals scored by Fahad Juma (39 & 58 minutes)
Pakistan manager Kamran Ashraf said,” I am not disappointed by the result. It was these boys’ first international
outing so they were under pressure. We created more chances but did a lot of missing”.
Oman’s cocah Yousaf Dervish, “Good result for us. We followed a plan: to attack on counters. Physical fitness also paid off.”
International Hockey returns to Pakistan after six years. Oman’s under 18 team will play four tests against Pakistan at Lahore’s National Hockey Stadium.
Both the teams are preparing for the 4th Boys under 18 Asia Cup beginning in Dhaka, Bangladesh from September 24.                                                                                           
Hockey is a beautiful spectacle on astro turf. Two of the four tests will be played at night under lights.
A wonderful action packed out door entertainment awaits sports lovers of Lahore, old and young.

September 16 (starts 4.30 pm) September 17 (starts 8.00 pm),
September 19 (starts 4.30 pm) September 20 (starts 8.00 pm)
Pakistan led 2-0 but Oman fought back to draw the match. All four goals were field goals
