Poor Healthcare at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Raiwind makes Punjab Chief Minister furious

shahbaz-sharif-visits-dhq-hospital-raiwindLahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a high-level meeting late at night, which reviewed in detail the matters, appeared during the visit of Chief Minister to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Raiwind.

The Chief Minister expressed strong indignation over non-functional of newly constructed hospital at a cost of crores of rupees.

On ignorance regarding hospital affairs and staff, the Chief Minister ordered transfer of MS Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Raiwind Dr. Naeem as OSD while suspension of AMS Dr. Mehmood Akhtar on not wearing overcoat. Shahbaz Sharif directed Secretary Communication & Works to take strict action against those using substandard marble.

The Chief Minister said that the hospital has been constructed at a cost of crores of rupees for providing quality medical facilities to the patients and he will not allow wastage of resources of the nation at any cost. Shehbaz Sharif said that he felt sorrow over seeing the condition of new hospital and warned that now such matters will not be tolerated.

The Chief Minister directed Advisor Health Kh. Salman Rafique, Additional Chief Secretary and Secretary Primary & Secondary Health to immediately reach THQ Hospital Raiwind for setting right all the matters relating to the hospital and added that the hospital should be functional completely within 48 hours. He said that strict disciplinary action will be taken against the doctors not wearing overcoat in future.

Advisor Health Kh. Salman Rafique, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Secretary Communication & Works, Secretary Primary & Secondary Health and DCO Lahore participated in the meeting through video link from Chief Secretary Camp Office.
