Humera Arshad gets divorce from Ahmad Butt

Lahore : Famous singer Humera Arshad and film star Ahmad Butt has separated  after living together for around 12 years. “Listening to life threats and throwing acid on the face has become a routine for me,” she explained . “The man, I fell in love with and entered into wedlock, is now after my life.” “I gave 12 years of my life to a man who has no respect for me,” Humaira said.

A family court of Lahore served notice on Ahmad Butt pertaining to the divorce plea filed by his wife and renowned singer Humaira Arshad .

The family court judge Muhammad Aslam conducted the hearing of the petition filed by Humaira Arshad, during which the singer took the stance that her husband subjected her to torture oftenly .

Humaira complained that she was not being provided with her due rights so she moved to the court for divorce degree.

She further told the court that her husband continuously harassing her and bent on her character assassination through different tactics, and that she can live no more with him.

The court issued notice to Ahmed Butt and sought an answer from him within 15 days.

The drop-scene of the 11-years-long love marriage seemed close enough, as first notice of divorce was sent to Ahmad Butt , Gulam Abbas the brother of Humera Arshad claimed.

The reason behind serious differences between the past lovebirds turned out to be property.

At first, Ahmad Butt held a press conference against her wife Humaira Arshad accusing of ‘deceitful’ takeover of his property.Following which, Humaira Arshad herself chipped in and called her husband ‘disloyal’.

 

“He only wants to grab the money I have, my son and property,” she declared. “He purchased a car with my money and got it registered to his name.”

Humaira argued how could a man have Rs three crore, who failed to sign a single movie in past many years.

“Even if he proves Rs one lac only that I took from him, I would give away Rs three crore to him,” she challenged.

Moreover, Humaira Arshad burst into tears while holding the presser and appealed the Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif to save her life.

Holding a press conference at Lahore Press Club, Ahmed Butt accused that his wife Humaira Arshad deceitfully got all his property registered under her name. Accusing further, he said that Humaira later named the property to producer Sakhi Sarwar. It is being some 11 years since we tied a knot, but Humaira always kept me in dark,” he rued.

Humera Arshad is a Pakistani folk, pop, culture, and ghazal singer from Lahore, trained classically. Her albums are Chori Kach Di and Gal Sun Dholna. She has won numerous honors and awards for her musical achievements.

Ahmed Butt is a Pakistani model and actor. He started his film career with the flick ‘Salakhain’ in 2004.

They got married in 2004 and have one son ,living with his father Ahmad Butt.
