The Independence Day hockey match postponed due to Quetta’s deadly bomb blast

Secretary Sports Board Punjab Nayyar IqbalLahore : The Independence Day hockey match which was scheduled to be played between Quaid-e-Azam XI and Allama Iqbal XI on Monday at National Hockey Stadium, has been postponed due to Quetta’s deadly bomb blast.

Secretary Sports Punjab Nayyar Iqbal has expressed his shock on the Quetta tragedy and said that the terrorists won’t be able to succeed in their nefarious designs. “Our brave nation would face these cowardly acts of the enemy with full vigour,” he added.

Secretary Sports Punjab further said that the entire nation is united behind their armed forces in this testing time. “Our bold people, with the grace of God, will emerge winners in this war,” he expressed his determination.

The postponed Independence Day hockey match will be played at a suitable time and will be intimated to all concerned accordingly.
