Sharifs want control of the CPEC like Ittefaq Foundries: Dr. Tahir ul Qadri

Lahore : The Sharif family wants to control the CPEC and its routes just like it controls the Ittefaq Foundries so it they can use it whenever they want and shut it down whenever their personal interests come in conflict with it.

This was stated by Dr. Tahirul Qadri, chairman of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, while talking to senior party leaders in a Core Committee meeting here on Tuesday. He said it is quite astonishing why the national security institutions are bearing the Sharifs who are themselves a big security risk for the country. He said national security institutions must forthwith disallow the Sharifs to handle the security issues of the country and must keep them away from the national security institutions, nuclear installations and projects which are of prime national interest.

The PAT Chief said the reason behind this demand is that the Sharifs have all their business abroad, their children and other family members are abroad, their banks balances are abroad and they can flee the country as soon as they fear that justice is about to catch them by the neck.

Dr. Tahirul Qadri said that the august 6 protest movement will open the door of justice for us which has been eluded and kept away from us. He said this is being done on the overwhelming demands of the workers of the party. He said our workers are in very high spirits and can hardly wait to come out on the streets in search of justice. He said justice will come to Model Town, the place where our 14 workers were martyred and after what happens after August 6, no leader in the country will ever dare to spill the blood of innocent people and think that he is an “Untouchable” and can escape from justice.

The PAT chief said that the Sharifs are a security risk as all their interests are abroad and their financial crimes have come before the whole world because of the Panama Leaks. He said the rulers have never answered our revelations about sending Pakistani policemen for medical treatment to India and are busy in destabilizing the country. He said the lips of the prime minister remain sealed and never issued any statement on the Indian spies captured by our valiant armed forces.

Dr. Tahirul Qadri said in the latest move the Sharifs want complete control of the CPEC project and all the routes leading to Gwadar. He said this is not acceptable to any patriotic Pakistani and these issues should be handled by the Pakistan Army and alone by the Army and no politician like the Sharifs should have anything to do with it. He said the character of the Sharifs has become dubious and they cannot be trusted when it comes to matters relating to national security and interest. He said the rulers have not presented before the National Assembly all the details of the routes, especially those which involve Punjab. He said this is a serious crime and the institutions of national security must keep an eye on the movements of the Sharifs in this regard.
