Lahore : Meeting of the Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat held in Parliament House, Islamabad this Afternoon with Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan, MNA in the chair.
The Committee expressed strong displeasure over the poor performance of ANF and Custom authorities as they were unable to fix responsibility on the recovery of 28 kg and 3 kg Heroin from PIA flights despite laps of considerable period of time.
The Committee decided to invite Federal Minister for Interior & Narcotics Control and Chairman FBR in the next meeting to discuss the issue.
The Committee expressed concern over the unnecessary delay in completion of New Islamabad Airport project and directed that CAA may take stringent measures to make it functional before July, 2017 positively.
The Committee discussed “The National Air Transportation Safety Board Bill, 2014” in detail and directed that CAA may hold a meeting with the mover of the Bill to build a consensus and report to the Committee within 30 days of the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, MNA Sardar Mansab Ali Dogar, MNA, Ms. Parveen Masood Bhatti, MNA, Ms. Shehnaz Saleem, MNA, Ms.Nighat Parveen Bhatti, MNA, Ms. Nafeesa Inayatullah Khan Khattak, MNA, Moulvi Agha Muhammad, MNA, Syed Javaid Ali Shah, MNA, Mahreen Razzaq Bhutto, MNA, Syed Ali Raza Abidi, MNA, and Secretaries of Cabinet Division, CA&DD, and other senior officers of the concerned Ministries/departments.
