Lahore : Head of Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (F) & Chairman Kashmir Committee, Molana Fazal ur Rehman met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, here today.Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif,Federal Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan,former CM KPK Akram Durrani were also present on the occasion.
Matters of mutual interest and political affairs besides situation in Occupied Kashmir was discussed in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan Muslim League-N has always given priority to national interests due to which the country is marching towards progress and prosperity. He said that a lot of work has been carried out in every sector during the last three years and Pakistan today is far more peaceful, safe, and economically strong than the past. He said that the three years’ performance of the present government is also being acknowledged at international level.
Shahbaz Sharif said that decisions have been made on important national issues by taking political parties into confidence. He said that consolidated efforts are required for the progress and prosperity of the country and the problems being faced can be resolved through collective efforts and wisdom. The Chief Minister said that there is a dire need for tolerance, restraint and brotherhood. He said that the menace of terrorism and extremism will be eliminated with the force of unity.
Referring to the situation of Occupied Kashmir, Shahbaz Sharif said that Indian government cannot defeat the spirit of self-determination of Kashmiris and its policy of oppression has failed in Occupied Kashmir. There is no justification for the silence of the world community over martyrdom of innocent Kashmiri people, he added.
Molana Fazal ur Rehman congratulated Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on the recovery after heart surgery.
Later while talking to the media,Molana Fazal ur Rehman said inviting army for taking over is an enmity with the country and they must be trialed. He said Pajama leaks was a conspiracy against the democratic system.Molana Fazal ur Rehman urged that atrocities in Indian Held Kashmir must be brought before the world and Pakistan should strongly put the case of the Kashmiris .
