Health Department to provide dialysis facility to the patients of renal failures

Lahore : Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department has prepared contingency plan to provide dialysis facility to the patients of renal failures and provision of medical cover to the general patients in public sector hospitals during Eid ul Fitr holidays. All the Teaching Hospitals, Specialized Healthcare Institutions, Autonomous Medical Institutions and EDOs Health in Punjab have been directed to ensure uninterrupted medical facilities in the hospitals during Eid ul Fitr holidays.

A circular has been issued from the office of Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department to the vice chancellors of medical universities, principals of autonomous medical institutions, superintendents of all the teaching hospitals and EDOs Health of the districts in this regard. They have been directed to prepare duty roster of doctors, nurses and other staff to perform duties in dialysis centers / wards.

For the information/guidance of patients signboards indicating round the clock provision of dialysis services during Eid holidays also be displayed at prominent places within the hospitals premises. They have been further directed to provide efficient medical cover including stand by arrangements for medical, surgical and special care during any emergency situation in the holidays. All the heads of healthcare institutions have been asked to ensure strict compliance on the contingency plan for Eid holidays.
