Heirs of train bus crash victims paid 4 lakhs compensation after 13 years

Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal) : Assistant Commissioner Malakwal paid Rupees four lakhs to next of kin of train crash victims the other day. Pir Muhammad, his wife Begum Rashida and his son Razwan Ahmed died in a train-passenger bus crash on Eastern Level Crossing of Malakwal, in 2003. Government announced and paid one lakh per deceased to the heirs as compensation.

Heirs of the deceased included three sons and a daughter who at that time were minor. So the AC received and deposited the amount of compensation in a local bank as guardian.

Now when the minor heirs have  turned major, The AC  Asif Raza issued cheques of rupees four lakhs to three sons and one daughter of the deceased according to share as prescribed under the Muhammadan Law.
