NAB arrested 5 accused in a land compensation fraud case including a Brig (R) Muhammad Arif Khan

Lahore : NAB has arrested 5 accused persons namely Brig (R) Muhammad Arif Khan , Ali Abbas, Nasim Abbas, Shoaib Arshad and Atif Rashid in a land compensation fraud case worth crores. Accused personas have been arrested on allegations of fraud, misappropriation and loss to national exchequer. Accused person Brig (R) Muhammad Arif, in connivance with others, fraudulently withdrew an amount of Rs. 54,051,143/-  from the funds of project named ‘Defense Canal Road’, through bogus / fake vouchers by fabricating the documents pertaining to irrelevant Khasra Nos which were neither the part of the land acquired for the project nor was included in award. Accused persons shall be produced in Accountability Court tomorrow for obtaining physical remand.
