Lahore : Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali on Friday directed Chief Secretary (CS) and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab to beef up security of the public in general and the judges in particular.
The Chief Secretary and IGP Punjab were called by him at Supreme Court Branch Registry, Lahore, a press release here said.
Talking in the backdrop of the current scenario of kidnapping of son of Chief Justice of High Court Sindh from Karachi, the Chief Justice of Pakistan directed Chief Secretary and IGP, Punjab to take effective measures to tighten the security of the judges and the courts.
He emphasized upon the need to improve law and order situation.
