Pakistan has become a prominent country for protection of women rights in South Asia : Salman Sufi

Salman SufiLahore : The struggle of Special Monitoring Unit Law & Order for women rights was appreciated in United State of Women Summit (conference) for gender equality at White House America.

Senior Member SMU Law & Order was warmly welcomed at United State of Women Summit. Speaking on the occasion, Salman Sufi said that Punjab Women Protection Bill against Violence is a historic work which will help eliminate the incidents of violence against women in Pakistan. He said that with the enforcement of VAW, Pakistan will not only become popular regarding protection of women at world level but it will also provide a strong foundation for eliminating such crimes.

Salman Sufi told that due to process of legislation for protection of women in Punjab Assembly, positive image of the country has emerged in America. It is worth mentioning that Senior Member SMU Salman Sufi was invited for expressing views regarding causes and procedure of enforcement of law through women protection act in the summit held at White House.

In United State of Women Summit, various steps including economic equality and autonomy of women, health, violence against women, educational opportunities, business ownership, leadership, civic freedom and arrangements are reviewed.

Due to Women Protection Bill, Pakistan has become a prominent country for protection of women rights in South Asia region.

Salman Sufi informed that law school Chicago has expressed keen interest to send its students for studying the centers set up for elimination of violence against women.
