District Government set up five Ramadan bazaars at Mandi Bahauddin

Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal) : District Government has set up five Ramadan bazaars that have started functioning at Mandi Bahauddin, Phalia, Malakwal, Kuthiala Sheikhan and Gojra, TMA spokesperson Raja Akraam present at Ramadan Bazaar Mandi Bahauddin said.  He showed this scribe various stalls of fresh vegetables, fruits and other eatable items where price lists were displayed. Agriculture Department has also established a fair price shop where good quality rice, pulses and fresh “Grade A” items of various species of vegetables were available and the customers were seen buying them. Cleanliness and sanitary arrangements in and around the bazaar were made well and the site was giving a pleasing look. Space for vehicles parking was marked and security arrangement was put on the ground to meet any untoward incident. Complaint cell set up near entrance of the bazaar was working to dispose of complaints of customers regarding misconduct of stall holders and overcharging.

The spoke person said the Ramadan bazaars would regularly function during month of Ramadan. On a question he said this time “Grade A” vegetables and fruits would be available in the bazaars and commodities prices would be considerably are lower than the ones in the market. He also told the DCO Mustafa Sial had appointed revenue officers and TMO to keep watch on prices not only in Ramadan Bazaar but also in the markets across the district.
