Pakistan Council for Science and Technology declares Dr Sharif ‘Top Scientist’

Professor Dr Muhammad SharifLahore: Punjab University Department of Mathematics Chairman Prof Dr Muhammad Sharif has been declared ‘Top Scientist’ by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology in all disciplines by securing 65 marks.

Prof Sharif has already been awarded with Izaz-i-Fazeelat, Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, Best University Teacher Award, Pakistan Academy of Science Gold Medal and twice Best Research Paper Award.

He has been conferred the title of HEC Distinguished National Professor and has also been elected Fellow, PAS. His fields of interest include Gravitational theory, Astrophysics and Cosmology.

He has published 368 research papers in journals of international repute with non-zero IF. He has delivered more than 73 seminars in different conferences at local and international level. He has produced 15 PhD and 51 M Phil scholars and has been supervising number of Mphil and PhD students.

Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has congratulated Prof Dr Muhammad Sharif on his well deserved honour. He has shared that the honour won by Prof Sharif is a source of great pride for the University of the Punjab.
