Women can play vital role in fight against corruption: DG NAB

Lahore: Director General (Awareness and Prevention) National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Aliya Rashid has said that women could play a vital role in the fight against corruption.
She, in her lecture on ‘Role of Women in Prevention of Corruption’ at the International Islamic University Islamabad, highlighted efforts and initiatives taken by NAB in eradication of corruption from the society, a PID press release said.
Terming corruption ‘mother’ of all ills, she underlined the need for creating awareness among public at national level to curb the corruption practices.
Aliya said the bureau had been disseminating the message “Say No to Corruption” at different level including through postage stamp, utility bills, driving licences and
newspapers.
“Women, being daughter, wife, mother and sister, need to play their active part in fight against corruption,” she reiterated.
