Rulers would be in Adyala jail soon : Siraj ul Haq

Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the Adyala jail was being given a fresh look these days and the emperors of today along with their princes would soon be there handcuffed.Siraj ul Haq

He was addressing a big public meeting at Qila Saifullah on the second day of his visit to Balochistan on Sunday.

Sirajul Haq counseled the Prime Minister not to look for avenues of escape from accountability, and instead talk of a ruthless accountability. He said the day when true accountability started, none of the past and present rulers would be spared.He said the very existence of Pakistan was threatened due to corruption and demanded that the plunderers and corrupt people must be tried for terrorism in order to save the country and they be executed at crossings and public places as a warning for their coming generations.

The JI chief appealed to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to take suo moto notice of the delay in the introduction of Urdu in the judiciary and the government offices.

Sirajul Haq said that the Prime Minister’s sons had themselves admitted their off shore companies in Panama. He said that when the Prime Minister had transferred his wealth abroad to avoid taxes, what moral right he had to ask the masses to pay their bills and taxes. Are the poor masses there only to pay for the luxuries being enjoyed by the ruling elite, he asked.

He said that Balochistan was at the peak in corruption and billions of rupees had been recovered from the house of the provincial Finance Secretary. He said that if NAB began true accountability, many more big fish would be hauled up who would have to spend their remaining life behind the bars.

The JI chief said that the second Panama Leaks would be out on May nine and was expected to include the names of five hundred Pakistanis including people from the establishment, capitalists and feudal lords. He said that these were the people who came to power after the British rulers left and established their hold on the country’s politics and economy. The main aim of these people had been to deprive the masses of the last morsel of food and deny hem the basic facilities of education and health, he added.

Sirajul Haq stressed upon the political parties to adopt permanent system of accountability within and weed out the corrupt from their ranks before going for elections.
