Shahbaz Sharif is responsible for Layya tragedy : Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Ch Pervaiz ElahiLahore: PML-Q senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi has said that if 200 beds hospital in Layyah and trauma centre in Fatehpur, established by our govt were made functional 8 years back by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif that no deaths would have been caused by eating poisonous sweetmeat and precious lives could have been saved as such the Chief Minister himself is responsible for these deaths.

He said this which talking to media after ascertaining latest position about the effected people from former MPA from Layyah Ch Altaf Hussain.

Former MPA Ch Altaf Hussain said that Ch Altaf Hussain had done great work with the cooperation of the party workers to save the lives of the effected people to the maximum extent possible and constantly remained in contact with them.

He said that the trauma centre was completed at a cost of Rs 18 crore for four districts of South Punjab including Layyah under our govt’s Trauma Centre Hospital Scheme, under this scheme four ambulances were also to be provided to the centre so that lives of the effected persons of the accidents could be saved but Shahbaz Sharif stopped more work on it, furthermore the gift of 200 beds medical centre given by our govt keeping in view the deprivations of people of Layyah and adjoining areas was not made functional by the present govt only because it was established by us, its building is complete but so far doctors, para-medical staff and machinery have not been provided there due to which effected people of Fatehpur incident could not be provided timely medical treatment, they became victim of the vindictive attitude of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif one after the other.

Former MPA Ch Altaf Hussain said that PML workers had worked day and night for Fatehpur incident effected people in the light of direction given by Ch Pervaiz Elahi, ensured their access to the hospitals of Multan and Lahore as a result of which lives of many patients were saved.
