Anti Corruption Alliance observes 1st May as Black Day in Mandi Bahauddin

Mandi Bahauddin(Sher Gondal) : Local Non Governmental Welfare Organizations Anti Corruption Alliance observed 1^st May Labor Day as Black Day as part of Anti Corruption movement.

NGOs workers and office bearers gathered at Committee Bagh and expressed their solidarity with laborers and peasants in their struggle for securing their legitimate rights.

Speakers addressing the event said that justice was the great welfare in every society. But in our country rising corruption has completely blocked the way of justice. Our political and social system is victim of sycophancy and false promises made by rulers.

Recent PANAMA leaks have exposed our top rulers and opposition leader’s lust for wealth. People already knew that our rulers and leaders including bureaucrats were transferring illegally gotten money to foreign banks but PANAMA leaks had now confirmed their belief.

Corrupt rulers continued exploiting farmers and laborers for amassing wealth that is why the rich is growing richer and the poor is turning poorer. They condemned government for not giving due consideration to ameliorate condition of farmers and laborers who are back bone of national economy and development. They demanded end of labor repression and for better wages and benefits. They also vowed to work for eliminating corruption from the country.

On a question Subedar Ghulam Ali Dhotar President Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society Dhoke Kasib said they had planned to hold a seminar with the cooperation of Anti Corruption Establishment where it would be decided what role NGOs and civil society can play to assist anti corruption establishment in uprooting corruption and corrupt practices from government institutions including judiciary, police and district administration.
