Panama Leaks wreken the image of the rulers: Liaqat Baloch

Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that some more Panama leaks would demolish the image of the rulers totally and they would not find any place for hiding.

Addressing the elected councilors and Nazims from Khyber P. besides notables of the province at Mansoora on Wednesday, he however suggested to the ruling junta to renounce corruption, place the facts about their wealth before the masses and give an assurance for paying taxes in the future to regain their confidence.

Liaqat Baloch said that so far, the tales of the rulers’ wealth were being told within the country alone but that had become the talks of the entire world. He however said that time was not far off when the masses would rise against the corrupt rulers and compel them to surrender their ill gotten wealth.

He said that the rulers did not consider themselves answerable to the masses and they had not bothered to fulfill their promises made during the election campaign. As a result, there was great unrest and disappointment among the masses.

Liaqat Baloch said that the people had lost faith in the electoral system while the Election Commission had failed to enforce the code of ethics for the elections. Election had become a game of wealth. People spent millions to win an assembly seat and then they plundered billions from the public money. He said that the JI was the only party whose leaders had no spot of corruption on their person.
