British High Commissioner Thomas Drew calls on Fozia Waqar

Lahore: Chairperson Provincial Commission on Women Fauzia Waqar has said that government has taken a number of practical measures for bringing women into mainstream of development.

She was talking to British High Commissioner in Pakistan Thomas Drew who met her at her office, here today. Fauzia Vaqar informed the British High Commissioner about the performance of provincial commission on women, gender parity report, women helpline, research and other matters.

Thomas Drew appreciated the measures taken by Punjab government for the promotion of education and technology besides participation of women in different sectors.
