A photographic exhibition on Pakistan Movement will be held from 21st to 23rd March

pakistan movementLahore: To mark the day in a befitting manner, a photographic exhibition on Pakistan Movement along with paintings and sketches displaying the culture, society, people and landscape of Pakistan will be held by Directorate of Electronic Media & Publications from 21st to 23rd March, 2016 at Aiwan-i-Quaid, Fatima Jinnah Park, Islamabad.

There will be special focus on contributions of renowned female Muslim leaders who presented themselves as a role model by being courageous and selfless, who remained involved in political struggle, education and social welfare work along with organizing procession and addressing large gatherings to convince the Muslims both women and men to unit together for establishment of separate homeland.

“23rd March” Pakistan Day is an important occasion for the people of Pakistan.  Every year Pakistan Day is celebrated throughout the country with enthusiasm to commemorate the sacrifices given by Muslims of sub continent for creation of Pakistan.

DEMP has a rare collection of the historic photographs of the events which covers all aspects of Pakistan movement and political struggle which eventually led to establishment of Pakistan.  The Directorate has also a large collection of photographs, paintings and sketches depicting the rich culture and heritage of Pakistan.

The purpose of the exhibition is to create awareness and instill importance of Pakistan Movement through photographs to reminisce the struggle and sacrifices for the cause of Pakistan into the heart of younger generation and general public.
