Environment Protection Department constitutes nine anti-dengue squads

Provincial Environment DepartmentLahore: Environment Protection Department has constituted nine anti-dengue squads for surveillance of dengue in Lahore city.

The towns included Wahga Town, Gulberg Town, Samanabad Town, Shalimar Town, Aziz Bhatti, Nishtar, Allama Iqbal, Data Ganj Bakhsh and Ravi Town. Each squad is headed by EPA Inspector for dengue larvae monitoring.

EPA has assigned four areas to the squads i.e tyre shops, junkyards, nurseries and under construction sites. A total of 6955 sites have been monitored from first January 2016 so far.
