Bilal Yasin visits Sialkot to review the arrangements for coping with potential flood

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin paid an emergent visit to Sialkot and reviewed in detail the arrangements made for coping effectively with potential flood and rains situation.

He visited Sialkot on special direction of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to review the performance of government institutions. Addressing local officials of different departments at DCO Office Sialkot, Bilal Yasin said that government officers should make public service their mission and work with missionary zeal for resolving problems of the people.

Bilal Yasin said that he believes in practical steps and review the performance of institutions in fields. DCO Sialkot Dr. Asif Taufail, DPO Sialkot Rai Ijaz Ahmed, Additional District Collector Sialkot Umar Sher Chatha, EDO Education Sialkot Muhammad Farooq and EDO Health Sialkot Dr. Javed Warraich gave briefing regarding their concerned departments.

The Minister said that he will visit Sialkot every week and inspect educational institutions, hospitals, police stations and other government institutions and inquire from citizens about their performance. Later, the Minister visited the city during the rain and reviewed the arrangements made by TMA for disposal of rainwater.

He directed TMA officers to set up emergency rain centers for ensuring immediate disposal of rainwater in urban areas and besides sanitation, Rescue 1122 officials and dewatering sets be provided.

The Minister also visited trauma center of Government Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital Sialkot and reviewed the medical facilities being given to the patients in emergency. He also visited land record information management system Sialkot. He said that officials working in service center should display their government cards.
