The Special Committee on Asia Cup holds meeting to review performance

Lahore: The Special Committee on Asia Cup and ICC World T20 convened for a preliminary meeting today in the Boardroom of Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore and the following were in attendance:

1.  Shakil Shaikh, Chairman Cricket Committee               (Chairman)
2.  Subhan Ahmad, Chief Operating Officer                      (Member)
3. Iqbal Qasim, Former Test Player                         (Member)
4. Misbah ul Haq, Advisor to the Chairman                       (Member)
5. Salman Naseer, Sr. Manager Legal                          (Secretary)

The Members examined the TORs of the Committee and decided upon a methodology to determine the next steps to be undertaken.  Chairman PCB also briefly graced the Committee with his presence and instructed the Committee to work independently and to make recommendations after thoroughly probing into performance of the Pakistan team during the Asia Cup and the selection process and criteria adopted by the Selection Committee.

The Committee also formulated a list of officials/experts whom they would be contacting to address their queries. Another meeting has been scheduled in the next week.
