Two cops martyred by bikers near police station Iqbal Town,Lahore

Lahore: Two motorists martyred two cops by firing at picket in Allama Iqbal Town near the police station and fled away. Police immediately cordoned off the area but the accused could not be apprehended. Police have registered a case and sent the bodies for autopsy to city morgue.

It is stated that the cops signaled the bikers to stop for search but they opened fire upon them and run away. The injured cops immediately taken to nearby hospital but they could not survived.

Meanwhile; Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of firing at picket in Iqbal Town and sought a report from CCPO Lahore. He expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of two police constables due to firing and sympathies and condolences with the bereaved families.

The Chief Minister directed that the accused involved in the incident of firing should immediately be arrested.
