25 lakh per marla are being paid for registered houses including debris :Bilal Yasin

Minister for Food Bilal YasinLahore: Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin has said that government has started paying compensation for land acquired for Lahore Orange Line Train. He said that 33 vouchers have been prepared for payment after complete scrutiny of documents on first day and cheques will be distributed among the owners on Feb 4.

He expressed these views while talking to people at compensation paying center at Government College University Ground, Today.  He said that a very fast mechanism has been evolved for payment of compensation to the affectees. He said that all facilities have been made available at these centers and officers and other staff of concerned departments are speedily disposing of matters of the people.

Bilal Yasin said that Rs. 25 lakh per marla are being paid for registered houses including debris while Rs. 12 lakh per marla for houses without debris and Rs. 10 lakh for an unregistered room. Similarly compensation will be paid for properties of Auqaf and other departments. He said that Orange Line Train will prove to be a revolutionary project and due to this project, a new traffic culture will be introduced in Lahore.
