PRA collected 37 percent more revenue from telecommunication

Lahore: Punjab Revenue Authority has collected 37 percent more revenue from telecommunication as well as non telecom sectors during the first half of the current financial year 2015-16 as compared to the corresponding period of the last year.
According to the official sources, total revenue collection from July 2015 to December 2015 remained at Rs 26,993,678,266/- out of which revenue from non telecommunication sector was Rs 19,564,514,735/- which is 64% higher than the revenue collected from the same sector during the last year.

Meanwhile, revenue from the telecommunication sector remained at Rs 7,429,163,531/- this year.

The significant increase in revenue collection by the Punjab Revenue Authority is manifestation of the renewed efforts of PRA for increase in revenue collection while ensuring transparency, sources added.
