TMA Mandi Bahauddin gives Christmas gifts to Christian employees

Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal) : A function was held the other day at TMA lawn to give Christmas gifts to Christian employees of TMA on the eve of Christmas celebrations.

TMA Administrator Afzaal Warraich after distributing gifts among the employees highlighted Christian’s role in development of the country. He said Christians are our brothers and they must enjoy equal rights with Muslim majority. Referring to their services he said even during Pakistan movement they were with Quaid-e-Azam and on independence they opted for Pakistan.

They have been serving in government departments including judiciary, politics, armed forces and education and many of them earned high national awards for their meritorious services. They in Pakistan established and managed many schools and colleges of high repute which created great politicians, judges, army officers and bureaucrats.

Praising services of TMA employees he said their continued efforts were great contribution towards keeping the city clean. He said he was pleased to join them in celebrations of birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (PBUH). Besides Christians other TMA employees including TMO Anser Sahi attended the function.
