Media is playing a commendable role for curbing corruption:Hamza Shahbaz

Lahore: Chairman Public Affairs Unit Hamza Shahbaz MNA has said that media is playing a commendable role for social uplift due to which corruption is being exposed. He said that there should be complete unity despite political differences for national progress and prosperity.

He was talking to media after a function at a local hotel today. He said that there is a growing public awareness and the people fully support those who deliver and the result of recent local bodies’ elections is a proof of this fact. He said that snap election is a very difficult phase for any government.

He said that in Indian State Bihar the ruling party badly lost elections whereas masses have expressed complete confidence in Pakistan Muslim League-N government in local bodies’ elections which were held on political basis.

Replying to a question, Hamza Shahbaz said that politics of sit-ins has been buried and now it is time for action. He said that the important projects in energy sectors will be completed in 2017 which will completely change the situation and a new era of prosperity will begin.

Replying to another question, Hamza Shahbaz said that mega projects are important but it is also necessary to solve basic problems of citizens at their local level. He stressed upon new elected local bodies office bearers to serve the people of their area by rising above their political affiliation. He further said that PML-N will win general elections of 2018 on the basis of its performance.

Hamza Shahbaz said that in the developed countries, the modern concept of government is of a corporate institution but unfortunately there is red tapism in government departments in our country.  He said that PML-N is bringing substantial changes in the efficiency of government and projects of metro bus and orange line is a clear proof of this fact.

Hamza Shahbaz said that besides identifying short term, media should also highlight the positive role of the government.
