Aleem Khan seeks ECP help to establish rigging in the bye-elections of NA-122

Abdul Aleem KhanLahore: PTI leader Aleem Khan has sought ECP help to establish rigging in the bye-elections of NA-122.
In a letter Provincial Election Commissioner,Punjab Masud Malik ,Aleem Khan has asked him to provide record of transfers of votes cases and induction of new voters record.

We refer to your letter No. F.1(5)/2015-Elec dated 2 October, 2015 with which you have provided us with a list of votes added, as well as the votes deleted from the voters list since the General Election of 2013 in NA-122, Lahore-V. We note from the figures provided by you that a total addition of 25,989 votes have been added against deletion of 4,542 votes. We also note that additions made on account of applications supported by Form-A provided to us total 812 votes. However, there are duplications in the Forms-A provided to us and the actual numbers of Forms-A is 722. It is, therefore, clear that 25,267 votes have been added to NA-122 without the backing of an application supported by Form-A.
The new votes registered in NA-122 on account of the voters having attained the age of 18.

Evidence that the new votes registered in NA-122 on account of attainment of the age of 18 belong to persons who are persons of Gharanas whose votes already stood registered in NA-122.

 

  1. Evidence that the persons whose votes were registered on account of attainment of the age of 18 and on account of their belonging to Gharanas whose votes already stood registered in NA-122 were not previously registered as voters in any other electoral constituency.
  2. Kindly provide documentary record exhibiting determination of the aforesaid three facts as regards persons whose votes were registered in NA-122 since the General Election of May 2013. Kindly also provide a complete list of new voters registered in NA-122 with their CNIC details and new CNIC Registration Forms with their supporting documents.

That as regards the 4,542 votes deleted from NA-122 kindly indicate the number of votes deleted on account of the provision of death certificates on behalf of deceased voters. Copies of the said death certificates may be made available to us. A complete explanation along with supporting documents may also be provided as regards votes deleted from NA-122 on grounds other than death of the voter.

The electoral list for NA-122 provided for the by-election of 2015 shows the addresses of a large number of voters at places not within the limits of NA-122. Kindly explain why voters who are depicted not residing in NA-122 were included in the voters list for NA-122. Kindly note that this number totals 17,082 votes.

We also note that there are a number of residential addresses at which over 30 votes are registered. Furthermore, votes registered at such addresses belong to persons who are members of different Gharanas. Reference may in this regard be made:

We require you to provide explanation as to why a large number of persons belonging to different Gharanas have been shown as residing at one address for the purpose of registration of their votes.

We also require a copy of the intimations sent to NADRA for changes in the voters list since the General Election of May 2013.

Kindly provide the information described above at the earliest.
