Shahbaz Sharif greets PML-N candidates on winning the 2nd phase of LG elections

Shahbaz SharifLahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated Pakistan Muslim League-N candidates on their glorious victory in the second phase of local bodies’ elections. He said that masses have rejected the enemies of development of the country also in the second phase of local bodies’ elections and politics of public service, hard work and transparency has won.

He said that thumping success of PML-N has proved that people deeply love party leadership and want continuity of the policies of the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said that the success of PML-N candidates in such a large number in the elections also gives the message that the masses want speedy completion of energy and other development projects. He said that the results of local bodies’ elections have also authenticated the results of general elections of 2013 and the elements that were engaged in lies and allegations have been rejected.

Shahbaz Sharif further said that the elements that created hurdles in the journey of development through purposeless sit-ins last year should learn a lesson from their defeat. He said that the results of local bodies’ elections have proved that the masses hate politics of protest and agitation and want progress and development of the country. He said that with the grace of Almighty Allah and the deep love of people, PML-N candidates have achieved a glorious success in local bodies’ elections.

The Chief Minister further said that peaceful and prosperous Pakistan is the agenda of PML-N and the government led by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is striving round the clock for completing the mission of progress of the country. He said that all out measures are being taken to resolve problems like terrorism, shortage of electricity, poverty and ignorance and no effort will be spared to bring the country out of darkness and achieve the goal of progress and development.

The Chief Minister said that the candidates winning local bodies’ elections should serve the masses with commitment and come up to the expectations of the voters.
