DG Wildlife notice illegal hunting of deer and partridge by govt officials

Lahore: Director General Wildlife Khalid Ayaz Khan has taken notice of the hunting of deer and partridge by DCO Jhang Nadir Chattah and DPO Mianwali Sarfraz Virk in Mianwali.

He has directed concerned Divisional and District Officers Wildlife to inquire into the matter and submit report within 8 hours.

Khalid Ayaz Khan said that on proving crime in the investigation, no leniency will be shown and indiscriminate action will be taken against the persons responsible. He further said that law against illegal hunting is applicable to all. He said that campaign against illegal hunters will continue till lifting of ban on hunting.

A TV channel 92 news has reported that both the govt officials did hunting along with the 2 nominated accused of murder of the son of Nawab of Kalabagh Malik Muzaffar’s son Malik Waheed which was a highly condemnable act.
