Business leader lauds govt policies for economic growth

Lahore: Presidential candidate of United Business Group for the presidency of FPCCI Abdul Rauf Alam on Friday lauded the principled stance of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif amid official visit to the US.

He said that military operation has broken the back of terrorists which has infused confidence in the business community.

Abdul Rauf Alam said that projects initiated by the government including three LNG-based power plants, coal-based power plants, Karachi-Lahore pipeline will end energy scarcity in country as promised by the PM.

He said that PML-N came to power when country was on the brink and forex reserves were at four billion dollars which are not around twenty billion dollars for which credit goes to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and his team.

The business leader said that political, economic and security situation is improving, GDP growth is above four percent, deficit has been educated to 5.3 pc, inflation is at 6 pc and interest rates are at lowest while stocks market has progressed by 72 percent.

Lauding the Chinese investment worth 46 billion dollars and upgradation of Gwadar port, he said that international financial institutions and credit rating agencies are all praise for the policies of the government.
