ASI commits suicide in police station in protest against his senior’s attitude

Lahore: Investigation wing Lahore ASI Azeem Ashraf posted at PS Defence A has committed suicide by shooting himself in police station in protest against his senior’s attitude,media reported.

IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has ordered immediate inquiry and directed for financial assistance to the  bereaved family.

According to the spokesman of Lahore police, ASI Azeem Ashraf was posted at PS Defence A since 14th of September 2015 ,he was not under stress due to any punishment given by the department nor he was misbehaved by his senior officer,the spokesman claimed.The deceased ASI belonged to district Narrowal.

The CCPO Lahore capt(R) Ameen vance has constituted an inquiry committee comprising of SP Cantt Imtiaz Sarwar and SP HQ Omar Saeed Malik ,which will compile its report within 24 hours and if any officer found responsible for the suicide of the said ASI ,he would be dealt according to the law.

DIG Ops Dr Haider Ashraf has announced that Lahore Police would bear the burial expanse of the ASI Azeem Ashraf and financial assistance will also be provided to the bereaved family.
