Prime Minister reviews working on development projects in Punjab

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, special attention is being paid to the timely completion of public welfare projects. He said that the construction work of Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project has been started. He said that after metro bus projects, Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project will prove to be a big revolution in transport sector. He said that people of Pakistan are thankful to Chinese President, Prime Minister, government and people on this great gift.

He said this while addressing a meeting presided over by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at Governor House, today, in which a detailed briefing was given about Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project.

Shahbaz Sharif said that after successful launching of Lahore, Rawalpindi-Islamabad metro bus service and under construction Multan Metro Bus project, first metro train project of Pakistan is a revolutionary step for providing quality, speedy and comfortable traveling facility to the people in Lahore. He said that due to the combination of metro train and metro bus, Pakistani citizens will feel proud of travelling respectably in air-conditioned metro train of international standard. He said that the citizens will not only be rid of inconvenience of waiting for transport but will also not quarrel over fare.

The Chief Minister said that all these projects have been prepared for providing speedy and comfortable travelling facilities to those crores of people who are forced to travel by smoke emitting buses in starching heat, summer and winter. He said that new culture of travelling has been promoted in Pakistan by metro bus service and lakhs of people reach their destination by metro buses daily.

Similarly, Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project will bring a revolution in transport system, he added. Shehbaz Sharif said that metro bus system has created comforts for the people. No doubt, metro bus projects are glorious example of spending national resources over the people and they are witness to it, he added.

The Chief Minister said that Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project will be a masterpiece of quality, transparency and speed which will be completed in a stipulated period. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, public welfare projects will be completed speedily and the journey of service to the masses will continue.
