IGP gives a farewell reception in the honor of the retired Addl: IGP PHP, Javed Islam

Lahore: Immediate relief, remedy and provision of justice are the prime responsibilities of the police officer and those who practiced these qualities will reached their respectable superannuation.

This was stated by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera while addressing the participants of a farewell reception hosted in honor of the retired Addl: IGP PHP, Javed Islam at Central Police Office, today. All Addl: IGPs, RPOs, CCPO Lahore, DIGs, DPOs, SSPs and SPs also attended the reception.

On this occasion the PPO said that professionalism, honesty, patience and tolerance enhanced the performance of the police officers and these qualities were really practiced by Javed Islam during his professional career. He further said that as RPO, Javed Islam discharged his duties diligently in challenging regions of Faisalabad and Sargodha.

Addl: IGP Welfare and Finance, Sohail Khan, Addl: IGP Operations, Capt. (R), Arif Nawaz, Addl: IGP CTD, Rai Muhammad Tahir and DIG PHP Salman Chaudhry paid rich tribute to the services of Javed Islam and declared him a valuable asset of the police department.

The 5th common officer, Javed Islam born in Toba Tek Singh in 1955 and got the MSc. degree in psychology. He joined the police department as ASP in 1987 and served on 17 different positions in Punjab during his service tenure.

While addressing on this occasion, Javed Islam said that he is confident and proud to reach his superannuation with grace and dignity. Later, IGP Punjab presented the traditional police souvenir to Javed Islam.
