The participants of 103rd National Management Course visit Central Police office

Lahore: As many as 49 participants of 103rd National Management Course along with 10 faculty members visited Central Police office, Lahore today.

Addl: IGP Welfare and Finance, Sohail Ahmad Khan resented the welcome address. Addl: IGP Operations, Capt. (R), Arif Nawaz, Addl: IGP Training, Capt. (R) Usman Khattak, Addl: IGP CTD, Rai Muhammad Tahir, DIG Headquarters Farooq Mazhar, AIG Operations, Waqar Abbasi, AIG Admin: & Security, Zubair Dreshak, AIG Legal Kamran Adil and other senior police officers were also present on this occasion.

Addl: IGP Operations, Arif Nawaz briefed the participants about the operational pattern, current police working, future strategic plans, H.R position, crime rate, law and order situation of the province, terrorism and militancy challenges being faced by the Punjab police besides the exchange of police officers to other countries for training purpose.

Add: IGP Operations, Capt. (R) Arif Nawaz further told that the biggest challenge being faced by the Punjab Police is to combat with terrorism. And during last 13 years 667 police officers / officials have embraced martyrdom and about 500 got injured. He also told that heinous crime like murder decreased in Punjab by 26%. With the establishment of Homicide Investigation Units in Punjab, the percentage in murder cases is expected exemplary decreased, added the Addl: IGP Operations.

Addl: IGP Welfare and Finance, Sohail Khan briefed about the allocated budget along with the shortcomings being faced by the Punjab police.

Later, souvenirs were exchanged between the visiting delegates and police officers.
