The by-election results will serve as public referendum against the rulers: Imran Khan

Lahore: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan has said that the by-election results will serve as public referendum against the rulers. He said that the rulers were now trying to win while using `government resources’ instead of facing the people in the elections.

Imran Khan said that PML-N’s local bodies’ elections candidates had started inaugurating different development projects in the area and demanded that the Election Commission of Pakistan should take notice of this pre-poll rigging. He said the PML-N rulers, who were raising slogans that the load-shedding would be finished within six moonths, were now being exposed. He said that the PTI was the only political party that could drive the country out of the crisis.

Imran Khan said that the incumbent rulers were the founders of using government resources to contest elections. He said the PML-N should respect the people’s votes and decisions. He said the rulers were only giving false hopes to masses instead of resolving their problems in real terms. However, he said, the masses could no more be befooled and they would reject the PML-N supported candidates in the upcoming elections. He said the by-election results would serve as public referendum against the masses.

Imran Khan said the rulers seemed not interested in holding the local bodies’ elections but the PTI would now allow them to run from the election arena. He said the PTI would compel the rulers to hold the local government elections on time as well as in a free and fair manner. He said the PML-N’s local government elections candidates were now inaugurating development projects.
